Obituary for
Walter Dembicki
On January 7, 2022, Walter Dembicki of Edmonton passed away at the age of 85 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his four sons, Paul (Betty), Eugene (Karen), Andrew (Michelle)and Stephen; one daughter, Nadia Picard (Richard); and four grandchildren, Kirsten, Nicole, Brett and Ashlene.
Walter is predeceased by his wife, Mary Dembicki (nee Pidoborozny); brother, Stanley Dembicki and sister Anne Shybunka (Steve).
Walter was a graduate of the University of Alberta Agriculture program, farmed in the Mundare, AB area and was also a real estate agent. He attended St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church where he served the church in various capacities over the years.He enjoyed fishing, travelling with family and cheering on the Edmonton Elks.
Special thanks to the staff at Laurel Heights for the years of looking after Walter and making it home. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation or a memorial of choice.
A Funeral Service will take place at Park Memorial, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton, AB on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Juliian Bilyj officiating.
Per Alberta’s Restriction Exemption Program, be prepared to provide proof of Vaccinations (QR code along with valid ID for those 18 and over), or proof of a negative rapid COVID test taken within 72 hours of entry, or an original medical exemption letter.
Interment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
