Walter Zettler Thursday May 19th 2022

Walter Joseph Zettler of Walkerton passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, in his 91st year. Survived by his loving wife Dorothy (nee Spitzig-Kleist) and her children Marjorie (Joseph) Batte of Riversdale, Shirley (Stephen) Mullen, and Dave (Angela) Kleist, both of Walkerton. Walter will be fondly remembered by Dorothy’s grandchildren Brittany (Kenny), Mitchell (Shelby), Jeffrey (Agnieszka), Lindsay (Ryan), Laura, Matthew, Gregory (Angela), Timothy (Emily), Jessica (Tim), and 13 great grandchildren. Walter will be missed by his siblings Teresa Schnurr, Vera Schmidt, Helen Zettler, Francis (Eugenia) Zettler, all of Walkerton, Sister Lois Zettler SSND of Waterdown, Jerome (Sandi) Zettler of Hanover, Denis (Jan) Zettler of Wallacetown, sister-in-law Edna Zettler of Hanover, brother-in-law Jim Rich of Formosa, the Spitzig Family, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his siblings Cleta (Leo) Hoffarth, Mary (Harold) Poechman, Stella Rich, Leonard Zettler, brothers-in-law Walter Schnurr and Raymond Schmidt, and his parents Peter and Agnes (nee Walter) Zettler.
Friends and relatives are invited for visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton. Fr. John Schnurr officiating.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
