With heartfelt sadness I would like to announce the sudden passing of my brother Walter Senkiw on September 27, 2022 at his home in Moosomin.
He leaves to mourn his sister Francis Harrison (Colin), his 3 nephews Spencer, Tate (Evangeline) and Brock of Winnipeg and his extended family from B.C.
Walter worked on the railways for many years, he worked on the tracks in Ontario where he found his precious puppy, Tamper. Walter loved the freedom of working on the rail tracks in the areas of Ontario, after retiring from C.N he worked a short time for Sperry Rail. Walter enjoyed visiting Winnipeg where he would frequent the casinos and visit his favorite restaurant on main.
Walter loved his pets, After the loss of Tamper he found Bubba at the Winnipeg Humane society, after the loss of Bubba he found his Duke at a rescue in Saskatchewan.
Walter was predeceased by his mother Sophie Zelezniak and Father Bill Senkiw.
Cremation has taken place. Walter will be laid to rest at Chapel Lawn in Winnipeg where his mother is laid to rest, where a private family service will commence.
I would like to thank the staff at Carscadden for the dignity you have shown, I would like to thank my brother’s neighbour for her compassion to me and my brother, I would like to thank the Winnipeg Police for their compassion and I would like to thank the vet in Moosomin for watching over Duke.
