Obituary of W. Richard (Rick) Ward BASc, P.Eng
The family of W. Richard Ward (Rick) are saddened to announce the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Rick on October 14th, 2022 in his 77th year. Left to mourn his passing are his wife, Mona, his daughter Angela (Dan) Raymond, his son Brent (Nichala), his grandchildren Claire and Miles Raymond and Brandon and Charlotte Ward, his sister Sharon (Derek) Phillips, his mother-in-law Betty Iles, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Brenda Danson, Nancy Capula-Schiavo (Guy), Karen Iles and Ralph Iles (Cathie Robertson). Predeceased by his parents Wally and Mary Ward, father-in-law Ralph Iles Sr., brothers-in-law, Joe Capula, Bill Danson and sister-in-law Deborah Iles. Also mourning Rick’s passing are Mona’s nieces and nephews and their families and Rick’s cousins, friends, neighbours and co-workers. Visitation will be held at Donald V Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, October 18th from 5-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 304 Highway 8, Stoney Creek on Wednesday, October 19th at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery, Stoney Creek. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cure PSP Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society. Notes of sympathy and condolence may be made at www.donaldvbrown.ca.
