TUCKER, William ‘Bill’ James (July 26, 1925 – November 25, 2022)
Passed away peacefully at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on November 25, 2022 in his 98th year.
Bill was the loving husband to the late Jean Elizabeth (Hewer) Tucker (2016).
Loving father of Susan McBride (Dr. Mark Cornfield), of Long Point; Ross Tucker (Barb Beaton), of Port Stanley.
Grandfather of Kristin McBride, Patrick McBride, Andrew and Dawn Tucker and Adam Tucker (Becky Graham).
Great-grandfather of Elizabeth (Ella), Kassandra (Kasey), Lucien, Liam, Castiel (Cas), and Ezekiel (Zeke). Survived by a sister Ruth Annabelle (Tucker) Arnott (late Gordon Arnott), by his brother-in-law Ron and Barb (Hollands) Hewer as well as by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Predeceased by his parents William Henry David and Annie W. (Hamilton) Tucker, by his sister Jean Marion (Tucker) Parker (late Robert Parker), by his brother Donald Gerald Tucker (late Rose Paul) and sister-in-law Dorothy Grace (Hewer) Bowman (late Robert Bowman).
Bill was born in Woodstock but lived in Tillsonburg for 55 years. A printer by trade, he worked at the Woodstock Sentinel Review and the Tillsonburg News. He was a former member of Woodstock and Tillsonburg Golf Clubs, Tillsonburg Seniors Centre and Oxford Rifles Association.
In keeping with Bill’s expressed wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held in the Tillsonburg Cemetery where he will be reunited forever with his much-loved wife, Jean.
