With heavy hearts we announce that Virgil McKenzie Nahdee, a member of Walpole Island First Nation passed away on August 29, 2022 with his beloved wife ‘Girlfriend’ Maxine at his side. Loving father of Doy Loulas (Lorne), Grace Nahdee (Sam), Jane Nahdee and Virgil Nahdee II (Heidi). Cherished grandfather of Bin, Gagek, Shiikanse, Googsenh, Onch, Miinaan, Signook, Waawaanoo and Oshawanoo. Dear brother of the late Maenard ‘Tex’, the late Reginald ‘Gus’, the late John, Charlene ‘Qua’, Norman, the late Emil, Bernard, Jarvis and Abigail. Uncle to many nieces and nephews who were very precious to him. Virgil retired as a Student Counselor at Lambton College where he impacted the lives of many students. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg. Community visitation will be held at 1141 Chief’s Rd. N, Walpole Island on Thursday, September 1, 2022 from 2-8pm. Funeral Services will begin at the home on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 10:30am followed by burial at Highbanks Cemetery.
