Obituary of Violet Gillingham
Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, Violet L. Gillingham of Ochre Pit Cove, age 95 years.
Predeceased by husband: Charles; parents: Ormsby and Emma Belle Loveys; brother: Albert (Verna); parents-in-law: William and Emily-Jane Gillingham; brother-in-law: Clayton.
Leaving to mourn, son: Roger (Maureen), Ochre Pit Cove; granddaughter: Emily-Jane (Brandon); nephews: George (Tammy) Loveys and Dave (Alice) Loveys, both of Ochre Pit Cove; great-nephews and great-nieces: Tony (Michelle) Loveys and family, Torbay, April (Garfield) Marsden and family, Paradise, and Lyndon (Lesley) Loveys and family, St. John’s; cousins: Daphne Penney, Blackhead, Carol Kirby, Wenham, MA, and Norma (Don) Troast, Williamsburg, VA; also a number of other relatives and friends.
Following pandemic guidelines, visitation by invitation only at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Thursday, February 3.
Funeral service by invitation only on Friday, February 4 at 11:00 a.m. from McDowell United Church, Western Bay. Interment in the United Cemetery, Ochre Pit Cove.
Proof of vaccination required for visitation and funeral service.
