The family announces with sorrow the passing of Violet Elaine Ouimette after fighting the battle with COPD at Health Sciences North on Monday, December 19, 2022, at the age of 78.
Daughter of Elsie Mary Reid, predeceased.
She is survived by loving husband and partner for over 40 years, Frank Stamplecoski. Loving mother of Paul (Carole) Ouimette, Dan Ouimette and Sharon Lamoureux (Michael Fouzie) and her step-children Connie (Jacques) Trepanie and Paula (Hans) Kruithof. Loving nanny to Jason (Leslie) Ouimette, Todd Ouimette, Tyler Lamoureux, Derek (Madi) Lamoureux, Henri and James Trepanie and Owen and Hudson Kruithof. Dear sister of Marjorie and Bill Halldarson, both predeceased, Doreen Armstrong (Ken, predeceased), Sandra Reid, predeceased, Audrey Rowell (Al), both predeceased, June Reid, predeceased, David Reid (Sandy, predeceased) and Debbie and Mike Cousin. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank the wonderful staff on the 4th Floor North, Palliative Care at Health Sciences North.
At Violet’s request, there will be no funeral visitation or service. Cremation.
A celebration of life will be later in the new year.
