1947-2022
Vince Barrett of Riverview passed away on Monday, October 31,
2022 at SENB Hospice. Born in Glace Bay, NS he was the son
of the late James and Becky (Sharpe) Barrett.
He was an Instrumental Technician working for several years
out west as well as in the Maritimes.
He cherished time spent with his family and watching his
kids, grandkids and the neighborhood kids play sports. He
enjoyed family BBQ’s for what seemed like the whole
neighborhood and he loved participating in a good
debate.
Vince will be dearly missed by his wife of 52 years Charlotte
(MacAulay) Barrett; daughter Meghan (Patrick); sons James (Angela),
Daniel (Amanda), Campbell (Lisa); sisters Nancy (Ernie), Diane (Brad),
Sheila (Dan); brothers Bob (Betty), Terry (Debbie), Tony (Cindy), and
Aaron; grandchildren Emma, Campbell, Meara, Tyler, Lilah, Maisie,
Rosie and several nieces and nephews.
Aside from his parents he was predeceased by a sister
Brenda.
Vince’s family would like to extend a special thank
you to everyone at the SENB Hospice who provided him with exceptional
care during his transition. Vince’s family will be receiving
friends and relatives at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation
Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Thursday, November
3rd from 12:00 until the time of service at
1:30 pm. For those unable to attend the service will be
live-streamed. The interment will take place at the
Highlandview Cemetery at a later date. Donations made to
SENB Hospice and the Harvest House would be appreciated by his
