Viateur Dufour 19302022

Viateur Dufour
1930-2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mr.
Viateur Dufour which occurred on November 11th,
2022, at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. He was born on June 28,
1930, in St-Alexis de Matapedia, QC
He is survived by his wife, Eva (Turcotte) Dufour; a son,
Alain of Atholville; two daughters: Manon (Jean-Louis Fournier) of
Tide Head, and Hélène of Moncton. He also leaves
his grandchildren whom he adored more than anything: Benoit (Marcy)
and Marc-André as well as two great-grandchildren; Olivia
and Alec; his sister Sr. Colette Dufour (Laval) as well as many
nephews, nieces, and extended family.
Viateur is predeceased by his sisters, Isabelle, Paula,
Annette, and Simone, as well as his brothers Romeo and
Ovila.
He worked as a mechanic for thirty years and then became an
excavation contractor until his retirement. He loved to hunt, fish, be
in nature and with his family. Each of us will remember his love, his
‘joie de vivre’ and his humor.
The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks
to Dr. Déanne-Eve Gagnon for her good care, her empathy,
and her kindness, as well as to the staff of the Manoir de la
Vallée of Atholville and the Campbellton Regional Hospital
for their good care and compassion.
The funeral will be held at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Church in
Campbellton on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022,
at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends and family at the Savoie
Funeral Home, located at 47 Alexander Street, Campbellton, that same
day from 9 a.m. until departure for the funeral. For those who wish, a
donation can be made to the Heart Foundation or Alzheimer N.B. in
