It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Vernon Gerard Keefe of Souris and formerly Lot 42, Morell, PE at the age of 80 years. Vernon will be forever loved by his children Marissa, Afton, Ryan and Amanda and their mother who remained a special and trusted friend. He was also loved and cherished by his grandchildren Lucinda, Shandi, Kameron, Revan, Seth and River. Survived by his dear sister Shirley and brother Mervin (Suzie), goddaughter Ashely and also by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born on April 21, 1942, he was the son of the late Martha (MacDonald) and Jack Keefe. Predeceased by sister Noreen and his brothers Elmer, Sterling, Earle, Johnnie, Carl, Emmett and Ivan and nephews Kevin, Leonard and Brian. The family would like to acknowledge the exceptional care given to their father by Dr. MacLeod and the entire nursing team at the Kings County Memorial Hospital.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 6-8pm. A funeral mass will be held at the Church of St. Lawrence O’Toole, Green Meadows on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 11:00am with interment to follow in the St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of Vernon can be made to the St Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery Fund.
