Verna Merriam MacKenzie 1941 2022

Verna Merriam MacKenzie of
Moncton, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2022
at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home with her family by her
side.
Verna was born
in Moncton on October 30, 1941 the daughter of the late
Lawson and Ruby (Rushton) Spence.
Verna made the
most out of life, she loved bingo, country music and laughter! She
especially enjoyed her time driving bus. She will always be remembered
for her jokes and sarcasm, she loved to laugh and make others laugh
also!
She will be
deeply missed by her daughters, Susan (John) of Lower Cape, Lisa
(Wilson) of Riverview, Barbara (Jamie) of Riverview; her son, Charles
(Marilyn) of Irishtown; her treasured grandchildren, Rodney, Rebecca,
Celia, John, Ryan, Bobby, Emily, Ethan, Nicholas, Jessica; and ten
great grandchildren; son-in-law, Allan; sister, Lucy. She will also be
missed by serveral nieces, nephews and many friends.
Besides her
parents she was predeceased by her sister, Marina; brothers, Albert,
Herbie, Robert and her former husband and friend Robert
MacKenzie.
Honouring
Verna’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of
her life will be held at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home on
Friday, September 9, 2022 from 6:00pm until
8:00pm

Donations in
Verna’s memory made to the Alzheimer’s
Society would be appreciated by the family.
