A huge thank you to the lovely women who helped our family
keep our mother in her own home as long as possible, Dee
Kennedy-McCully, Debbie Nielsen, Donna Harvey and Sylvia Nason. Our
mother loved nothing more than a good chat over a cookie or two with
you gals. Talking about Burnside and everyone she knew was always a
pleasure and something our mother looked forward to each week
– thank you Sylvia (We still miss your great homemade soup
and goodies!). The family would also like to extend their sincere
gratitude and thanks for the wonderful in-home palliative care
provided by VON, prior to our mother’s admission to The
Mira. Dawn Ross and Dr. Cortney Smith, you were amazing and always
understood and listened to our needs and guided us when we needed it
most. All the RNs who visited our mother were caring,
wonderful souls and we appreciate what you did and continue to do,
more than you’ll ever know. Thank you.
Donations in our mother’s memory may be made to
