Obituary of Valerie Lynn Maracle
Maracle, Valerie
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, Valerie (Val) Maracle on Sunday, March 6, with her loved ones by her side; at the age of 66. She will be dearly missed by her daughters Vanessa (Jamie), Jennifer (Kevin), and Kristin (Larry), siblings Carter (Anita), Karen, Brenda (Kelly), predeceased by her brother Terry. She was a loving Totah to Carter, Victoria, Jonas and Wyatt and will be missed by her nieces and nephews.
Val was a respected educator at QMS for 19 years. During her time, she inspired, supported, loved and was loved by many students, staff and community members. She loved camping, the outdoors and winning at horseshoes.
Mom, we will always remember your fighting spirit, fun-loving nature, and big heart. You taught us to be strong, independent Mohawk women. Your grandkids will never forget your patient ways and how much you loved them. Rest easy, dance hard – forever in our hearts.
In the spirit of moms’ love for supporting youth to succeed, donations can be made to the QMS Nutrition Program.
Visitation will be at the M.J. Smith & Son Funeral Home on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm. And on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 11:00 – 12:00 pm. 78 Centre St. Deseronto. Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the Deseronto Legion. Cremation to follow.
