Obituary
Valerie Rose Reichmuth (née Werle) passed away March 21, 2022 after a battle with cancer. Born December 19, 1939 to Rose (Metz) and William Werle of Langenburg SK. Valerie grew up on the family farm nurturing many animals and in particular, a love of dogs. Valerie’s zest for gardening blossomed first, in her mother’s farm garden, to be carried to the many gardens she planted over the years. Her generosity touched many as she shared each gardens bounty. Cooking was a great love and went hand in hand with fresh garden veggies in particular, her cucumber salads and fresh giant tomatoes.
Valerie met and married Norris “Sam” Reichmuth on October 24, 1959 and moved to Binscarth where they worked together running Reichmuth’s Hardware. They eventually went out on their own with a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning business. This allowed Valerie to work from home doing books for the business and raising their two children, Jodi (Jason) and Mark (Sarah). Not a minute of a day was wasted as she tended her large gardens and flower beds along with her family. She was known to entertain and spoil friends and family with wonderful meals and appetizers and could play the piano by ear. This led to many sing songs and even some dancing! Valerie loved her family deeply and attended baseball games, piano recitals and festival performances. Her love grew wider with the addition of her 4 grandsons Bailey, Colbey, Jorey and Tavrey (Mark and Sarah) and her attendance of hockey games also grew! Granddaughter Jade (Jason and Jodi) joined the family in 2014 and life was full!
Valerie was predeceased by her husband of 55 years Norris (Sam) Reichmuth, her parents Rose and Bill Werle and her two brothers Gerry Werle and Lloyd Werle. Left to mourn are her children and grandchildren, her sister in law Luella Werle (Lloyd) and nephews Kerry (Jen) Werle, Blaine Werle, Shawn (Pam) Werle, Kelly (Rhonda) Werle and Brent (Stephanie) Werle and families.
A family graveside service will be planned for spring, Valerie’s favorite time of year for ordering her garden seeds and starting her plants! Perhaps the Garden’s of Heaven are benefiting now from her talents. We know with every spring and new flowers blooming, we will think of her. Valerie rests in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ, free of pain, surrounded by those who went before and rest with her now.
