Val MacLean 19502022

Val MacLean
1950-2022
Val MacLean of Perth-Andover, NB, passed away peacefully at the
Victoria Glen Manor on October 23, 2022.
Val was born in Bath, NB, on October 12, 1950. He was the only child
of the late Jane (Fields/Curry) and Gordon Maclean. Val leaves behind
his loving daughters, Sandra MacLean-Chambers (Jason) of Carlingford,
NB, and Sarah MacLean of Perth-Andover, NB; his stepfather Stu Curry
of Summerside, PE; his five grandchildren, Kaylee, Evie, Matthew,
Emily, and Easton.
Val married his love Joan (Donovan) MacLean in 1975 and had 36 years
together before her passing in 2011.
Val spent his childhood years moving around as a ‘military brat’ in
different Canadian provinces, as well as countries like France.
He was a gentle man, who enjoyed quiet. Loved telling stories (be they
tall tales or not) and had a passion for motorcycles and music…
Especially the Beatles!
Val has resided at Victoria glen manor for the last 14 years, where he
has been shown so much love and devotion from staff there, and they
will forever have a place in his family’s heart.
A graveside service celebrating Val’s life will be held on Saturday,
October 29, 2022, at 11 am from St. John the Evangelist Anglican
Cemetery, Four Falls, NB. Rev. Roy Dee officiating.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Victoria Glen Manor or
to MADD would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
