V Marjorie Ward 19412022

V. Marjorie Ward
1941-2022
It is with sadness that the family announce the peaceful
passing of Marjorie Ward on January 20th, 2022,
after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December
23rd, 1941, to Jim and Bea Bridges and was the
loving wife of Neil Ward.
Marjorie will be missed by her children, Jeffrey (Karen) and
Krista (Steven); grandchildren, Maggie and Jake; siblings, Charlotte
Upton (Stewart) and Irvine Bridges (Bonnie) as well as many nieces and
nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her
brother, Stuart (Donna).
Marjorie grew up on a farm in Sheffield, NB, learning the
value of hard work from an early age. She was considered one of
Jim’s best workers. After high school, she followed in her
mother’s footsteps and became a teacher. She taught for over
35 years in Oromocto and Cambridge Narrows. She spent her retirement
years on their hobby farm in Cambridge Narrows and enjoyed her time
contributing to the community.
The family would like to thank Dr. G. Haines, all the doctors
and nurses in Oncology, EMP Staff, and a special thanks to nurse Lisa
for going above and beyond. Marjorie also had many neighbours who
provided extraordinary love and support.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Narrows United
Church in Cambridge-Narrows on Thursday, May 5th, 2022, at 11:00 am,
with Rev. Jane Johnson officiating. Reception will follow at the
Jemseg Lions Club. Interment will be in Sheffield United Church
Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to the Narrows United
Church or to a charity of the donor’s
choosing.
At the church’s request, social distancing
requirements will be relaxed, but masks are to be worn at all times
and attendees must remain seated for singing. Those who are coming up
to speak may take off their mask only while they are in the
pulpit.
