Utley was born in Meadows to Clayton & Annie Brake. At the age of 19 he married the love of his life, Maggie Park of McIvers and they had three girls. He worked as a mechanic at Western Terminals then decided to open up his own business in Meadows, “Brake’s Autobody Ltd.” He loved camping, salmon fishing, moose hunting, and having a good drink while enjoying a good game of cards and some fun with his friends. He always had a big smile on his face, which was infectious. He had many friends both young and old, which he enjoyed spending time with.
We would like to take this time to thank our family and friends, the staff of Western Health, Eastern Health, and the wonderful staff of the Palliative Care Team for their help and support during his illness.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on June 21st, 2022 from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm and a private family funeral service will be held on June 21st, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Country Haven Chapel, with Reverend K. Osmond officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. As per family request, we are asking that those in attendance of the visitation and funeral, please wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association of Canada.
