We mourn the loss of Uta Sonier due to a stroke, on Thursday, November 24th, 2022. She lived a long life, determined to dance to her own drum, and was known for her passions for gardening, antiques, reading, Scrabble, and art. Beloved wife of Robert “Bob” Sonier (deceased), she is survived by brothers Tom, Pat and their respective families, her children Rob, Nicole and Jason, and her grandchildren André, Isabella, and Xavier. Uta’s final wishes requested a private ceremony to be held for immediate family only. Donations in Uta’s memory can be made to the Leeds and Grenville Ontario SPCA and Humane Society, or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
