Obituary
Ufedoojo Anuoluwapo Amedu was born into the Amedu family, daughter of Jonah Aya Amedu and Victoria Ireoluwa Amedu on September 12, 2003. Ufedoojo graduated from Calgary Christian School (CCS) in 2021 and was subsequently admitted into the University of British Columbia the same year to study Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She had finished her first year with flying colors.
Ufedoojo committed a lot of her time to volunteer, from middle school through to university. She was hoping to become a Neurosurgeon. A mural she spearheaded remains on the wall of her high school (CCS). She remained committed to volunteering, spending at least 3-8 hours a week giving back to the community throughout her first year at the University of British Columbia. Ufedoojo started a plan to create the first Black Student Union at UBC, inclusive of all marginalized communities.
Ufedoojo was always there to lend a helping hand, she was never at a loss for friends or a smile. She remained focused on her goal but had plenty of time to attend church services, help her friends and spend time with her family. Ufedoojo’s faith in Christ was as strong as it was bright, she believed that with God all things are possible, and in everything, she gave thanks to God.
Her family will miss her kindness, care, and unparalleled love. Ufedoojo is survived by her siblings – Jude, Ojone, Victor, Ojogbane, Joshua, and her parents. ADIEU!!! We love you dearly but God Loves You more.
Our beautiful angel, rest in peace in the hand of God thy creator.
