It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shri Tulsidas Veljibhai Bharadwa on Monday May 16, 2022 at the age of 88 years. Born in Dodoma, Tanzania, Tulsi migrated, with his young family, from Dar es Salaam to Calgary in 1971. Tulsi was educated and trained in banking by Barclays, PLC in Kenya and Tanzania and continued his banking and finance career in Alberta. He had a zest for travel, was a news junkie and is fondly remembered by his jokes that interspersed English, Gujarati, Punjabi and Swahili. Tulsi proudly held the office of President of the Gujarati Mandal of Calgary from 1988 to 1990 and was a member of the Kinsmen Club of Calgary.
Son of Veljibhai & Dayiben Bharadwa from Gujarat,India. Tulsi is survived by his wife, Rama, son Vinay (Daphnie), daughter Tejal (Philip), son Kartik, and daughter Meenal (Chad), granddaughters Rayne and Hailey and grandson Sheamus.
Funeral Ceremonies will be held at Country Hills Crematorium 11995-16 Street NE, Calgary, AB T3K 0S9 Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 1:30 pm. We care about you, your health and safety and although masks are not mandatory, they will be appreciated.
