Troy’s Obituary
It is with deep sadness that the family of the late Troy Young announce his sudden passing in Saskatchewan on Saturday, February 19th, 2022 at the age of 41 years.
Leaving to mourn with loving memories: his mother, Joanne; sister Gwen; and a large circle of family, friends, and coworkers
Predeceased by: grandparents Leo and Betty Gaultois and Stanley and Delsia Young; father James “Jimmy”; and special pup Lexxi, whom he loved dearly and was proud to be known to as ‘Uncle Troy’.
Troy loved anything outdoors. He spent many years working in in the fishery with his father and many days and nights at their cabin out west.
He could often be found tinkering at something in the shed and enjoyed any mechanical task, especially related to his trade in welding.
Although private and often reserved, he had a kind heart and generous soul which he used to try to help others to the best of his ability. A natural storyteller, he loved to tell tales of past adventures and leaves behind fond memories to many of those whose friendships he shared over his lifetime.
Following Troy’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out and also respected the family’s privacy during this very difficult time. Also to his coworkers at BlueForce for their compassion and caring during this difficult time.
As expressions of sympathy, donations in Troy’s memory may be made to the Southwest Coast SPCA or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
The day has come for me to go, too early on, but that I know…
Please keep memories near your heart and we will never be apart…
