Obituary of Todd Moores
Passed away suddenly following a single vehicle accident on May 27, 2022 Todd Benjamin Moores, 54 of Cottrell’s Cove. Predeceased by his father, Reginald Moores, very special grandmother Nan (Lily) Moores and grandfather Herb Moores, grandmother Mary Boone and grandfather Eric Boone.
Left to celebrate his life are his fiancé Erica Billings, sons Tyler Day of Cold Lake AB and his mother Rosemary, Alex Moores (Emily Quinlan) of Bishop’s Falls NL, and Andrew Moores of Grand Prairie AB and their mother Josephine and his son at heart Joel Stride of Grand Falls-Windsor, NL. Also leaving to celebrate his life are his mother Alice Moores (Arthur Power) of Grand Falls-Windsor, his sisters Cynthia Boone, Leona Moores, and Lori-Anne Cooke, his grandchildren Alayah, Jaxon and Addison Day of Cold Lake AB and their mother Jenessa Blackmore and a large circle of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Todd had a curiosity for life and tried to live life to the fullest every day. Todd had great love for his children, grandchildren and all of those in his life. He was able to build such a great connection with his grandchildren even though he hadn’t gotten to personally meet his youngest two. He had hoped to change that this coming summer. It was always his mission to put a smile the faces of everyone that he met. When he entered a place full of strangers, he was sure to still find a connection to someone before he left. Todd enjoyed rebuilding cars and mechanics, fine carpentry, gardening vegetables, cooking and was good at almost everything he put his hands to. Todd enjoyed truck driving all over the country following some jobs in mattress making, boat building in Toronto, and lobster catching in Cottrell’s Cove with his dad. Todd’s happy place was certainly taking in the sights of the cove from his parents’ home. Although the scenery never changes, he appreciated every single glance he took in.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Hoskins Funeral Home in Grand Falls-Windsor from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted by Pastor Jonathan Gascoyne at Hoskins Funeral Home in Grand Falls-Windsor on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
