Thompson John Ross “Jack 2022

Thompson, John Ross (affectionately known as Jack) born April 17, 1933 in Brantford, Ontario, sadly passed away unexpectedly in his 90th year on October 20, 2022. He leaves behind his loving wife of 9 years Betty, and is pre-deceased by his wife of 51 years Ann. He also leaves behind his two children Dianne Wojtasik (Jerry), Ross Thompson (Sharon), as well as six grandsons Rob Wojtasik (Laura), Adam Wojtasik (Vira), Derek Wojtasik (Caroline), Morgan Wojtasik, Devon Thompson, Collin Thompson, and seven great grandchildren. He also leaves behind Betty’s two children Bev (Brian) and Mike (Janice) and their children who fondly referred to him as Captain Jack. Many would have known Jack from his time as a custodian at Highland Secondary School in Dundas. A Celebration of Life for Jack will be held at the Lynden Legion (206 Lynden Road, Lynden, ON) on Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 2 – 6 pm, with Sharing of Memories starting at 3 p.m. Cremation has taken place and a private family internment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. George United Church, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Many thanks to the hospital staff at Brantford General Hospital, as well as the staff at Turner Family Funeral Home.
