St John, Thomas (Tom)
(February 29, 1940 – October 14, 2022) – Passed peacefully away surrounded by his family on Oct. 14th, 2022 at the Dr. L.A. Miller Center, St. John’s NL.
Predeceased by his parents Vera and Jim Whalen and Tom St. John; and his daughter, Maria Lalonde.
Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life, his wife Lynda Lalonde; his children: Jeanette (Gord) Dyck, Louise (Pierre) St. John, Thomas, Michael (Jayne) St. John, Andrew Lalonde, and Rosalie Lalonde.
He was a cherished poppy of 13 Grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; Sisters: Patricia (Gerald, deceased) Gale, Dianne (Paul deceased) Veitch Brothers Peter (Millie deceased) St. John and David (Marg) Whalen.
As well as 14 nieces & nephews and so many wonderful friends
Tom spent 30 years with the armed forces (Military Police) Canadian Provost Corps. He was a proud veteran and member of the Legion. He rode his Harley with the CAV, fundraising with the gang.
After retiring from the forces, he was involved in many businesses and fully retired in 2013.
Tom loved life, family and friends. He was a fierce protector, problem solver and teacher. Forever large and in charge.
We love you infinity pop.
A private family inurnment will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery Field of Honour, on Remembrance Day.
A celebration of his life will take place November 12th, 2022 from 2pm to 5pm at the All Saints Hall in Pouch Cove.
