SAMPSON, Thomas Richard (Retired Cpl. 3RCR) – passed away at home on Monday, December 26, 2022 at the age of 65 years.  
Tom “Sam” Sampson of Petawawa, husband of the late Brigitte Sampson (nee Imhof). Father of Christine Forney (husband Paul). Grandpa of Madelyn & Andrew Forney. Son of Betty Butler (late Alf) and the late Ross Sampson. Brother of Clifford Sampson (late Maryanne), Nova Scotia; Edie Cheesman (Randy), Whitby; and Mame Brady (late Paul), Peterborough. Predeceased by brothers Ross and John.  Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Respecting Tom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew St., Pembroke on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 1:00-2:45 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 517 are invited to gather at the funeral home for a Legion Service at 2:30 p.m. Spring Interment of ashes in St. Columba’s’ Cemetery, Pembroke. Everyone is welcome to join in sharing memories and refreshments at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 517, Petawawa at 4:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Wounded Warriors would appreciated.  The Memorial Service will be livestreamed at this link: event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=bc8dac63-4cd9-4727-9de4-978cfc605083
