It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Thomas Randall Hart, beloved Husband, Dad, and Grandpa, on Saturday, March 12, 2022, in Victoria, BC at the age of 76. He passed surrounded by the love of his family.
Tom was born on August 22, 1945, in Vancouver, BC to parents Henry and Gwendolyn Hart. He spent his childhood in Burnaby with his parents and siblings, Jim, Ken, Susan, and Kathleen. An auto mechanic by trade, Tom worked at Metro Toyota in Duncan for 20 years before deciding to open his own shop. He opened Hart’s Auto Repair in Duncan in 1995 and proudly served the community until his retirement in 2009.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman who loved sailing and instructing with Canadian Power and Sail, being on his motorcycle, hunting and shooting. He will always be remembered for his sense of humour and for helping others. His contributions to the community and many Duncan organizations will be thought of fondly. Tom’s biggest passion in life was his family and his commitment to them. He will be greatly missed.
