Obituary For Thomas Prince
May 13, 1974 – June 19, 2022
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas Prince, age 48, on June 18th at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton.
Thomas was baptized at St. Joseph Church in Grande Prairie and graduated from St. Joe’s High School. He went on to attend and graduate from Business at the Grande Prairie Regional College before becoming a Red Seal Welder.
Thomas loved to hunt and started at the age of 10, becoming a family provider along with his father. He shot his first moose at 11, making his father very proud. He and his Dad were very close, and Thomas was very protective of his sisters also.
He is survived by his mother, Lillian Prince, sisters Sheila (Jon), Freda (Carey), Maryann (Wayne), Monica Leah (Mike), Charlene (Charlee) and his special cousin Joyann (Brad). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and his godchild, Zoe.
Thomas was predeceased by his father, Fred Prince, grandparents Fred and Maryann Prince (nee Cunningham), Matilda and Emile Badger, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A Funeral Mass for Thomas will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Grande Prairie on Monday, June 27, at 10am, followed by a procession to Joussard for interment at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Joussard Hall.
