THOMAS KENT HAMILTON
It is with great sadness that the family of Tom Hamilton announce his sudden passing at home on
Sunday 13th February 2022 aged 77.
Beloved son of Bill and Ellen Hamilton, Tom was predeceased by his wife Liz in 2015 and will be
fondly remembered by his sister and brother in law Moira and Menzies Johnson, much loved
uncle to Derek and Karen and family.
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland,UK, Tom was very proud of his Scottish heritage. He joined the
Merchant Navy and his trips to Canada resulted in him immigrating with Liz to Canada in 1969
where he has enjoyed a full life making many friends along the way.
Tom was employed by Sun Life as an engineer in Montreal before moving to Sun Life Toronto
where he retrained to become a successful financial advisor. Living in Milton for many years he
enjoyed a busy social scene, later retiring to Antrim Glen where he continued enjoying life to the
full.
Family and friends will be received at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home on Saturday, February 26 from 12-1pm with the funeral service commencing at 1pm in the funeral home chapel.
Cremation to follow.
