Tributes
Thomas James Pate
(1958-2022)
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we share the passing of our loving Dad, our hero. His passing was sudden but peaceful, at his home on March 25, 2022.
Loving and devoted dad to Amanda, Leslie, and Kimmy. Father-in-law and best friend to Bob, Jay, and Scott. Cherished Grandpa, famously known as TT, to the Fabulous 7-Kalan, Logan, Abby, Ava, Amelia, Keegan, and Addison.
He is predeceased by his dad James Pate, and mom Rita Pate. He is survived by his loving sister Terry, brother-in-law Dave (Peikert), nephew Justin, niece Stephanie and step-mother Lucie Pate.
Tom enjoyed golfing, going fishing and being outdoors. His biggest joy in life was the time he got to spend with his grandchildren and spoiling them like only a Grandpa could do. He was a kind and generous individual that always made time for anyone who needed his guidance or assistance in some way. Tom worked over 40 years in the Rail industry, spending the last 6 years as a dedicated employee of Rideau Transit Maintenance.
Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean for visiting on Friday, April 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, April 2 from 3 p.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Chapel at 4 p.m. Reception to follow. If desired, a donation to CHEO would be appreciated.
Dad, although we feel that you were taken way too early, we know that you would have told us that you had the time of your life!
