Theodore (Ted) Cashin:
It is with great sadness that the family of Theodore Charles Cashin announces his sudden passing at home on December 14, 2022, at age 75. Ted was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Judy, his daughter Stacey (Brian) Pacholik and son Sean (Barbie) Cashin. His two much-loved grandsons, Alexander (Brit) Cashin and Ryan Cashin, will greatly miss their granddad. Ted is also survived by his sisters Patricia Bourbonniere and Joan (Michael) Wild. He was predeceased by his parents Cyril and Jennie (Hilchey) Cashin. Throughout his life, Ted was always there for family and friends to lend a helping hand. He lived life to the fullest as an avid traveller and golfer. He and Judy were long-time members of Grandview Golf & Country Club where they created many warm memories and long-lasting friendships. In his professional life, Ted was devoted to the sea. After spending 10 years in the Royal Canadian Navy, he worked for the next 32 years at the Queen’s Harbour Master in Halifax as a marine engineer, completing his career as the engineer on the Firebird based in CFB Halifax. A celebration of life will be held at Saint Vincent de Paul Church on January 11 from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
