With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Thelma Willena Rice of Pictou on September 14, 2022. Born January 26, 1958 she was the daughter of the late Myrtle (Tower) (Halliday) and William Rice. She will be dearly missed by her companion of many years, Francis Landry and son, Dougie (Marie Cyr); brothers, Ralph, Fraser (Cathie), Mack (Kenda), William (Linda) Halliday; sisters, Linda (Jackie) Fraser, Pearl (Vincent) Joyce, Wanitta Acorn and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8 PM in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Donations in Thelma’s memory may be made to the Pictou County SPCA.
