TERRY RICKARDS
1954 – 2022
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Dale Rickards, age 67 years, on Monday, January 17, 2022.
Terry was born on July 24, 1954 in Port Arthur, growing up on Dawson Road. He loved to hunt and fish with the friends he made over the years. He was a country boy at heart and lived in Kaministiquia for years.
In the 70’s, Terry found his calling as an Ironworker, working on various projects in the United States and Canada. He then moved to Alberta, joining Ironworkers Local 720, and purchased a rural home outside of Edmonton. Over ten years ago, Terry decided to move home, and bought his house in Sunshine, while continuing to work in Alberta. Due to health reasons, Terry sold his property and moved to the city.
Terry is survived by his brothers Lenny (Laurie), Darrel (Judy), Kenny (Patti) and sister-in-law Jeanne; step-daughter Christine; nieces Rachelle, Barbara and nephew Jamie; long time friend Rodney Wilen as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, George (GT) and Ester Rickards and oldest brother George Jr.(Rick).
As per Terry’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Should friends so desire, donations made in Terry’s name to the Thunder Bay and District Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
