Obituary
With much love and the deepest sorrow, the family of Terrence Elwood David Woodman, (Terry), announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at the age of 73. He went to eternal sleep, surrounded by his cherished family.
Terry is predeceased by parents, Elwood and Effie; sister and brother in law, Kathleen and Gerry O’Keefe; parents in law, Donald and Lillian Harnum; and great niece, Laura Green.
He is loved and remembered by his devoted wife of 50 years, Daphne; daughter, Terrilyn (Greg) Higdon; son, Mark (Shannon); and the absolute joy of his life, his 3 grandchildren, Abby, Blake and Bree – who will forever miss their biggest fan and greatest supporter.
He also leaves to mourn sisters, Daphne (Charlie) Green of Green’s Harbour and Paulette (David) Fong of St. John’s; brother, Todd (Janice) of New Harbour; as well as a large number of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a huge circle of friends. We cannot leave out very special nephew to Terry, Trevor Green – who kept him smiling with his frequent messages, and scattered prank over the years.
Terry’s love of music and all things nature were only surpassed by his love of family. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing, especially with good friends at their cabin in Glenwood.
He retired a proud member of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and made many cherished memories and friendships throughout his career.
We will never be able to express our gratitude for the exceptional care Dad received by Dr. Thompkins and her team at the Health Sciences Center, Charlene, and all of the nurses at ATU. Of course, we will never forget the kindness and support of his family doctor, Dr. Roy Lilly who became a family friend as well.
Cremation has taken place.
