Obituary
McNamara, Terrance Joseph
Passed away peacefully in his 77th year at Peterborough Hospice on Monday February 14th, 2022. Always kind and generous with his time he was never happier than when surrounded by family and friends. When there was work to be done Terry was the first one there and last to leave. Avid about all things sport, Terry was a successful player, coach, and proud supporter of both his kids and grandkids, on and off the field. He taught the importance of giving back to the community as a coach and as President of the Peterborough Baseball Association for many years. Many happy memories were made on the golf course and shuffle courts in Bradenton, Florida during retirement. Nothing was more important to Terry than his wife Adele, his children and grandchildren.
Beloved husband of Adele (nee Collins) for 55 years. Loving and devoted father of Brenda Jacobs (Phil), Shelley Adair (Jim) and Tim McNamara (Kelli), all of Peterborough. Cherished Grandfather of Ben and Abby Adair, and Ryan and Matty McNamara. Dear brother of Patrick (Mary), Barry (Janice) and Michael (Mary) and sister-in-laws Marsha McNamara and Debby Terrion. Predeceased by his parents Martin and Bernice McNamara, sister Sonia Doyle, and brothers Peter McNamara and Brian McNamara.
Dear brother-in-law of Bob (Kathy), Paul (Ria), Helen McIvor (Barrie), Rita, Tom (June), Barb Philp (late Paul), Jean, Joan Smit (Rudy), Mike, Pam Sinacori (John), Maureen Beatty (Don), and Steve (Shelley). Predeceased by his parents in law, Len and Beatrice Collins, and in laws Lenore Moloney (Joe), Len, Roy, Dan, Cathy and Bill. He will be sadly missed by Shirley Moulton, Nancy Collins, Sharon and Gary O’Donnell, Cathy Murphy, Bob Gainey, Bonnie Collins and many nieces and nephews.
