It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ted Pecsi, peacefully, on Sunday, November 6th, 2022, at the Lakeshore General Hospital at the age of 91.
Son of the late Julius and Elizabeth Pecsi (née Malinko). Loving husband of the late Irene (née Mate) and beloved father of Tom, Cathy (Peter), and Ted (Mary). Caring grandfather of Sierra, Emily, Selby, Matthew, Tristan and Lauren. Ted will be missed by his sister-in-law Rita, wife of Ted’s late twin brother Elmer, who passed away on the same date, November 6th, 2020. He will also be missed by his niece Diane, nephews Robert, Steve, and Richard and their families and by many dear longtime friends and family.
Ted and Elmer were born in Montreal in 1931, but spent their childhood in Edelény, Hungary between 1937 and 1947 before returning to Montreal at the age of 16. Ted later worked at Canadair and then General Motors in Ste. Thérèse for 23 years before happily retiring.
He loved animals, especially dogs, cats, birds, and squirrels, and took great joy in feeding them all! He also had a love for sports which he passed on to his three children. Many memorable hours were spent together watching golf, football, and hockey. Gardening and cooking were among his greatest passions as well. He took great pride in his garden and cherished having the family together for dinner.

from 11:00am – 2:00pm on Saturday, November 19th, 2022.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00pm.

Guests are welcome to join the family for a luncheon at Au Vieux Duluth Restaurant, 1997 Marcel Laurin Blvd, St. Laurent, QC.
