It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Sylvia Wilson On Sunday July 3, 2022 at the age of 84 years. Sylvia spent her final days at Venta Care in Edmonton. We would like to thank the staff at Venta Care for making her final days as comfortable as possible.
Sylvia was born on September 15, 1937 in Vilna Alberta. Sylvia enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, dancing and spending time with her family. She retired with the Gov’t of Alberta working with the student finance board. She volunteered at the Calder dance hall for the seniors dances . She enjoyed spending time at her trailer with her husband Sterling during the summer months at Gunn Alberta.
She is survived by her children one son Tony Fuller, one daughter Kimberly Bland four grandchildren Jeffrey Bland, Jessica Bland , Rebecca Bland, and Raeven Badger, four sisters Sophie Homeniuk, Jeannette (Jim) Ewanchuk, Rosemarie (Orest) Wisniewski and Lillian (Arthur) Gorda, two brothers Edward Kozak and Elroy (Joanne) Yakemchuk.
Sylvia was predeceased by her husband Sterling Wilson, Father Anton Kozak, Mother Mary (Euchuk) (Kozak) Yakemchuk, Brother Nick Kozak and sister Winnie Pawliuk.
Funeral service will be held on Friday July 8th, 2022 at 10 am at Trinity Funeral Home 10530-116 Street, followed by interment at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada
