Sylvia, in her 88th year, passed quietly in the Markdale Hospital on Thursday, February 3, 2022 with her niece Karen at her side. Sylvia was the loving wife of the late Stuart Hepburn (2011). She was the adored aunt of Karen Milloy and Kim Atchison. She was loved by her brother’s family, Peter Robinson, Doug Robinson and Anne Acevado. She will also be missed by her many great nieces and nephews. Sylvia is predeceased by sister, Pamela Milloy and brother Keith Robinson.
Sylvia was a kind, generous and honest soul. She worked hard throughout her life supporting the family she loved. She had a passion for the underdog and would find those that needed love the most and give it. This led her, later in life, to some of her passions, rescue animals and long-term care. Sylvia adopted several cats, the one that got dumped in the driveway, the one no one wanted at the vet and many others that needed love. In much the same way Sylvia chose to give her love to the residents of Grey Gables and for eighteen years she cared for those that most needed the assistance. She could be found helping residents with their meals, delivering drinks and most importantly being a friend. Sylvia will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
Cremation has taken place. Sylvia will be interred with her husband and mother in Meadowvale Cemetery in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, or Grey Gables Activity Fund would be greatly appreciated.
