Sylvia Adams
1947-2022
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sylvia Amelia
(Green) Adams who passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving
family, on August 20, 2022, aged 75 years.
Predeceased by her parents, Abraham John and Irene Green; sister,
Marguerite (Phil) Rice; brothers-in-law: Tolson Meadus, Gilbert (Jane)
Adams and Lloyd (Phyllis) Adams.
Left with fond and loving memories, husband, Gordon; daughter, Lori
(Robert) Hatcher; son, Randy (Christine);
granddaughter, Erika (Robert); grandsons, Ryan (girlfriend, Josie) and
Justin; sisters, Gertie (Don) and Florence (Lee);
nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends
including her best friend, Joyce Strong (Lionel).
Sylvia’s warm personality, infectious laugh, smiling eyes and love for
life will be a memory we all will hold in our hearts forever. During
her courageous battle with cancer she still wore a smile and showed us
what it is to be strong when you are surrounded by the people you
love. Her positivity and sense of humour were her trademark.
Her love for her family and friends knew no bounds. She loved everyone
and everyone who met her liked her and everyone who knew her loved
her. Sylvia touched the hearts of many people and made an everlasting
impact on us all. She taught us to appreciate the little things, to
live life to the fullest, to give with a generous heart and most
importantly, to be kind.
A loving wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother, sister and dear
friend, she will be forever in our hearts. We love you!
A heartfelt thank you is extended at this time to the amazingly caring
and compassionate cancer team and nursing staff of 5 North B at the
