Obituary of Sydney Thomas Moore
Born in Manchester, England April 10, 1940, Passed peacefully on Sunday January 2, 2022 at the Georgetown Hospital. Sydney was the youngest & only son of the late John & Ellen Moore and Brother to Elizabeth. He survived WW2 and went on to be an electrical engineer working for Atomic Energy of Canada.
Sydney loved tea, roses, and orchestra music, and was passionate about gardening. His knowledge in History was outstanding and he always managed to bring out his wittiness to make everyone smile. He was known to be one of the kindest and warm hearted gentleman who loved meeting people and who always had the nicest gestures towards others.
He would always talk about his childhood during World War 2 days and always reminded everyone to enjoy life and not take it for granted. He genuinely cared for other people over himself and making sure everyone is happy.
Sydney will forever be remembered by friends and family.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 14400 Argyll Road, Georgetown on Saturday January 8th at 11:00 am. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Acton.
