Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Sybil Grace Abbott at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital on June 4th, 2022 at the age of 90 years.
She leaves to mourn with many loving and precious memories: sons: Harold (Tammy) of Belfast, ME, Jim (Betty Jane) of Newcombville, NS, Don (Suzanne) of Hanmer, ON, Rick (Karen) of Caledon, ON, and Terry (Paulette) of Holyrood, NL; daughters: Carolyn (Don) of Windsor, ON, Wanda (Jerry) of Kitchener, ON, Judy (Frank) of Elora, ON, Grayce (Rick) of Hanmer, ON, and Brenda of Sudbury, ON; and daughter-in-law Shirley of Felix Cove, NL; as well as a large circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
Sybil was predeceased by: husband Harold; son Tom; parents Leah and Thomas Chubb; and siblings: Ches, Harold, and Winifred.
A visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville, on Wednesday, June 8th from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 9th at 2:00 PM from Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East. A private interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sybil’s memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
