Sybil Gertrude Slade 1941 2022

Sybil G. Slade,
81, of Moncton and formerly of Newfoundland and Petitcodiac, passed
away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday April 14,
2022. Born in Carbonear, NFLD, she was the daughter of the
late James and Linda (Sinyard) Clarke. Sybil enjoyed
gardening and entertaining her family for mandatory family dinners on
Sunday. For several years, Sybil was involved in several
organizations in the Petitcodiac area and she was very active within
her Anglican Church.
Sybil will be
sadly missed by her husband of over 64 years, Nathaniel Slade of
Moncton; son, Randal Slade (Heather) of Victoria, BC; daughters,
Sheree Slade (Austin) of Moncton, Paula Slade (Marc) of Moncton and
Michelle East (Roy) of Riverview; cherished grandchildren, Jennifer,
Tamara, Julianne, Shira and Hope; great grandchildren, Roman, Esther,
Madeline, Lilyrose, Jacob and Zion; sister, Charlotte and extended
family members. In addition to her parents, Sybil was
predeceased by her infant son, Clayton; three precious grandchildren,
Blainne, Ryan and Samuel; sister Shirley and son in law David, whom
she adored.
Sybil’s family
would like to thank the staff of Golden Years Estate for the love and
care given to Sybil during her
stay.
As per Sybil`s
wishes, there will be no visitation hours or funeral
service.
Arrangements under
the professional care of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road,
Moncton (858-1995).
If so desired,
donations in Sybil`s memory can be made to the Greater Moncton
SPCA or charity of the donor`s choice. Online

  1. Jim and Yvette Garland offer our most sincere sympathies to Nat and family. We know how much Sybil will be missed. We will remember forever how gracious she greeted our family back in the 1970’s and the most delicious dinner she served us. We lost track after this, and regret not staying in touch.
