Sybil’s Obituary
Allen, Sybil – of Halifax, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2022 in Palliative Care at the VG Hospital; after a short illness. Sybil lived in Germany with her husband Ray and family, during Ray’s tour of duty. She was a wonderful home maker. She also worked at Canada Packers for several years and was Shop Steward during part of those years. In their later years, Sybil and Ray enjoyed many years at their cottage in Pugwash. Sybil was predeceased by her parents John Francis and Irene Novak and her husband Raymond Lester Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon MacGillivray (Robert); Tantallon and son, James Brent Allen (Inga), Aurora ON; grandchildren, Samantha, Brittany, Stephanie and Jamie. A graveside service will be held at the Palmerston Cemetery, Pugwash, at a future date. We would like to thank the staff in the Palliative Care unit and the staff in the Cardiology Unit at the Halifax Infirmary for their compassionate care given to her during her stay at both hospitals.
