Obituary of Susan Jane Nugent
Nugent, Susan Jane- We the family of the late Susan Jane Nugent are deeply saddened to announce her passing on July 18th 2022 at the Aberdeen Hospital surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in New Glasgow Susan was the eldest child of Bud and Seb McKay of Stellarton.
Susan’s happiest days were spent picking berries and mayflowers in the bull pen and watching her girls on the ballfield and in the rink. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and she was theirs, and that overflowed to her great grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her husband Michael and their daughters Cathy, Janice (Andre) and Donna (Jeff), her grandchildren: Christie, Tyler, Haley, Mariah, Ryan, Hannah and Kaiden, as well as 11 greatgrandchildren, her loving siblings: Wayne, Patty, Michael, Marsha, Philip, and Amy; many nieces and nephews as well Mike’s siblings who were her family; especially special friends Bonnie, Sylvia and Jennie.
Susan was predeceased by her parents, brother Lee and grandson Michael, which gives us great comfort they are reunited.
The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9pm Thursday from the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral services will be held 11am Friday with Rev. Darlene Jewers presiding. Cremation to follow.
The family of Susan would like to extend a special thanks to the second floor ICU, especially nurse Dana. Donations in memory od Susan may be made to a charity of your choice.
