Susan passed away peacefully at her home in Oakbank at the age of 72 years.
Susan will be missed by her beloved husband Doug, her sons Todd and Ken, brother Kim (Sekoya), cousin Dawn and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is also survived by her step-children Brian, Christine, Lyle and their families who she thought of as her own.
She was predeceased by her parents Jack and Norma, brother Barry and dear grandson Kevin.
Susan had a love of plants and flowers and operated her own green house for a time. She also had a love and knowledge of cooking. She was well known for her perfect Yorkshire puddings, prime rib and turkey meatballs among many other dishes. She was a gifted salesperson working in various sales positions selling everything from dairy to wine among other things.
A big thank you to homecare and palliative care in the final days. We could not have made it through without these caring people.
Cremation has taken place and a private celebration of Susan’s life will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any pet rescue or any animal shelter or an organization of your choice.
