Trenholm, Sunnie Marie, age 81, of Truro and formerly of
Tracadie, Antigonish County, passed away on February 11, 2022, in
Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro.
Born in Fort Fraser, BC, she was a daughter of the late Alton
Phillip and Isabel Margaret (Faulkiner) Myers.
Sunnie worked on the fishing boats with her husband for over
20 years. After that, she worked at Dollarama and also as a
janitor at Antigonish East High School. She was a member of
the K-9 High Flyers where she ran her dog, Jenny.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra, Antigonish; Cindy
(Wayne) MacPherson, Shubenacadie; Audrey Armsworthy, Stewiacke; Penny
(Cory), Tatamagouche; Cheryl (Ken), Port Hawkesbury; 17 grandchildren
and numerous great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elysse Aitchison and
Merle (Colin) Turner, both of Vanderhoof, BC.
Predeceased by her husband, Normand; daughter, Deborah Lee;
grandson, Christopher Joseph MacPherson; and nephew, Kevin
Atchison.
Cremation has taken place, and a graveside service will be
held in the spring in St. Peter’s Cemetery,
Tracadie.
