It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Stuart “Rex” Hewlett announces his passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL on Monday, May 2, 2022 at the age of 75 years.
Left to cherish a lifetime of wonderful memories are his children, Richard Hewlett, Sudbury, ON and Sylvia Hewlett, Sudbury, ON; grandchildren, Haley (Dillon) and Jayden; mother, Olivia Hewlett, siblings, Doyle Hewlett, Dianne Noland (Jake), Kimberley Hewlett and Debbie Philpott (Sean); siblings-in-law, Rex Whitt (Pam), Rose Hewlett, Ronald Quesnel (Denise), Marcel Grandmaison and Lois Quesnel, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
Rex is predeceased by his wife, Jeanne Hewlett; father, Augustus Hewlett; siblings, infant sister – Olivia Hewlett, Gail Whitt and Otto Hewlett; parents-in-law, Richard Guerin and Fernand Hunt (Bill); siblings-in-law, Gaitanne Grandmaison and Rene Quesnel; nephews, Gabriel Philpott and Devon Niko; nieces, Gracie Philpott and Lily Hurley.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
The funeral service will take place from Bethany United Church, Baie Verte, NL on Monday, July 25, 2022 at 2:30 pm with Mrs. Beverly Snow officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany United Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL.
