Obituary
Stone passed away on November 17 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital at the age of 23 years. He leaves behind his parents Tracey-Lynne Gilman and Brian Todd Gilman.
In his early years, Stone was passionate about animals, music, skateboards, everything Spiderman, and a love of Star Wars, with the encouragement of Uncle Billy. As he got older his passions changed to writing rap music, playing the drums, and hanging with his friends.
Stone leaves behind to mourn, his mother Tracey-Lynne Gilman, and his father Brian Todd Gilman; his siblings Kendra, Autumn, and Sophia Ryder. Stone is survived by his grandmothers Betty Hicks and Lynne Scott; his grandfathers Bill Gilman (Lynne) and David Tremain; his uncles Billy Faubert and Troy Gilman (Jill); his cousins Ciarra and Aidan Faubert, and Tori, Michael, Averie and Adelyn Gilman.
Stone lived and died on his own terms, he did what he wanted, when he wanted, and he loved his family and friends. His generous nature ensured that if he had it – everyone had it. His feline friends Roxie, Bumps, and especially Rex will feel his absence. As a teen Stone volunteered his time at Heaven Can Wait, an animal rescue in High River where his passion for animals caused a sparkle in his eye.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a gofundme account to offset funeral costs or a donation to the Calgary Children’s Hospital, the Canadian Mental Health Foundation, or Heaven Can Wait animal rescue, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
