Peacefully after the result of a stroke on January 15, 2022 at University Hospital in London, Ontario, Steve Jarnevich in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Janie for 33 years. Loving father of Tyler. Dear Grandpa Steve of Serena Jarnevich-Sawada. Dear brother of Violet Oliver (John). Brother-in-law of Dan & Karen Johnson, Bonnie & Brian Sheehan, Debbie & Dan Lawlor, Brenda & Mark Olynchuk and Marysue Mota. Best buddy to his “puppy” Marley. Honorary Grandpa to Marius, Marleigh, Mason, Vikrum, Kaycen, Bentley, Brooklynn and Phoenix. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Hamilton, Windsor and Croatia. Steve was a retired employee of Dofasco with 28 years of service. The family would like to thank the ER staff at Wallaceburg Hospital and Chatham Hospital. Also the doctors and nurses of ICU and Neurology at University Hospital in London, Ontario for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Sunday, January 23rd from 2-4 & 7-9. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Monday, January 24th at 11 am. Anyone wishing to attend must RSVP by calling the funeral home at 905-388-4141. Masks are mandatory and you must practice social distancing. Burial to take place at Mount Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences can be made to www.dermodys.com.
