Obituary
Steven Alfred Lindfors passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on his 59th birthday, December 3, 2022 after a short battle with ALS.
Born in 1963 to Sven and Shirley Lindfors, Steven was raised in the Nolalu / Whitefish Lake area. He was a country boy who loved hunting, fishing and trapping. He started working at the family business, Gravel Lakes Cabins, but moved on to an actual paying job in logging. In later years he worked for his cousin and best buddy doing flooring in the Thunder Bay area, before following family out west.
After learning he had ALS, Steven had the rare opportunity to complete a “farewell tour” where he was able to say good-bye to family and friends. It meant alot to him that so many people took the time to see him. He kept his sense of humour till the end, and these get togethers were filled with laughter and tears.
Predeceased by his parents, Steven is survived by his siblings, Sharon (Randy) Krystalovich of Gibsons Landing BC, Sherry (Phil) Bentley of London ON, Stewart Lindfors of Nolalu ON, and Sandra (Bryce) Kelly of Lethbridge AB; nieces, nephews, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
There will be no formal service, but a private family gathering will be held at a future date. Thank You to his caregivers, especially Sandra and Bryce who were always there for him, Alberta ALS, the ALS Clinic and the caring people involved in MAID. In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society of Canada, or Alberta ALS in his memory would be appreciated.
Till we see you on the other side Steve, you will never be forgotten
